Paul McGurk is standing as the Conservative candidate for County Councillor in Marshland North.
Having lived locally for nearly 30 years, including the last six in Terrington St Clement, he has worked across the Norfolk area throughout his career.
He is not a career politician. He is a family man with more than 35 years of experience in manufacturing and industry, working with large teams, managing complex budgets, and helping businesses grow while maintaining high standards of safety and responsibility.
Those experiences matter because good local government should be about practical leadership, careful financial management, and delivering results for residents.
If elected to Norfolk County Council, Paul will focus on the issues residents consistently raise across Marshland North. That means working to improve road maintenance and tackle long-standing pothole problems, supporting better bus connectivity and rural infrastructure so people can access work, education and healthcare, and strengthening community safety by addressing anti-social behaviour and protecting vulnerable residents.
He also wants to ensure the villages receive their fair share of investment and services, while supporting local businesses and creating opportunities for the next generation growing up in our communities.
Marshland North has been Paul's home for so many years, and he would be honoured to represent residents and work hard to protect what makes this part of Norfolk such a special place to live.
