Peter has a lot of experience in working with councils in various ways. He was a Councillor for Breckland Council for 12 yeas, he also sits on the Norfolk and Waveney Health committee. He is also a Governor at the QEH.
In the past Peter has Championed 32 social housing properties for local people and was recognised by Norfolk County Council and MAP young people's charity as Norfolk's Outstanding Advocate for young people.
As the Norfolk Association of Local Councils (NALC) representative on the National ALC, Peter was responsible for having business rates removed from stand-alone toilet buildings owned by Town and Parish Councils and Local Authorities, with savings being used to keep toilets open and fit for purpose, after a 10 year campaign lobbying Government and meetings with Ministers.
As a former Vice Chairman and President of Norfolk ALC Peter worked with Hunstanton Town Council and Parish Councils along the North Coast, resolving issues and has taken legal questions to the National ALC on their behalf.
Peter is a family man who lives in Narborough and has always spend much of his leisure time on the Norfolk Coast. He likes walking and watching football including grass roots football for which he has helped to secure funding.
If elected, Peter's aim is to support the North Coast division as a Councillor and have a positive impact on the residents' daily lives.
